Some few online tools:

  1. text2phoneme
    • An automated phonetic/phonemic transcriber supporting English, German, and Danish. Outputs transcriptions in the International Phonetic Alphabet IPA or the SAMPA alphabet designed for speech recognition technology.
  2. docclassifier
    • An experimental document classifier based on the vector space model and agglomerative clustering. Input is a number of links to documents to be analyzed. Output is a distance matrix depicting the similarities of the documents and how they cluster.
  3. n-gramanalyzer
    • Tool that generates graph-based diagrams depicting the n-gram coverage of textual corpora (where n=1, 2, or 3). If the corpus is representative for the domain, the total number of unique observations will stabilize after a while.
  4. audializing stock prices
    • This online-application converts stock market values to tonal contours using different musical scales, keys, and tempi. It has been fun to implement and - believe it or not! - it is used by a few visually impaired persons controlling their PCs with Braille displays etc.
